Tim Kaine just cant get a break on the Internet. The outgoingDemocratic National Committee chairman and former Virginia governor,who announced Tuesday that he plans to run for the U.S. Senate seatbeing vacated by Democrat Jim Webb, had his domain name TimKaine.comhijacked a while back by Virginia Republican Attorney General KenCuccinelli, or so it seemed. It appears as if someone might behaving a little Internet fun.
When Yeas & Nays visited the website recently to see if Kaine hadgotten it back, TimKaine.com redirected us to the official home pageof the Communist Party USA.
Cuccinellis people said they had nothing to do with it. The AGscampaign does not own the domain, has not owned it, and has noaffiliation with it or with the person who does own it,communications director Brian Gottstein told Yeas & Nays in anemail.
The owner of TimKaine.com is listed as Domains by Proxy Inc., acompany that, not surprisingly, keeps website owners personalinformation private.
