NSW: Rally calls for no Australian involvement in Iraq war
A Sydney rally commemorating the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki has beentold Australia should not take part in any US-led military action against Iraq.
It's been 57 years since the US bombed the two Japanese cities in August 1945, andthe Hiroshima Day march and rally yesterday brought its message of Hiroshima Never Againto Sydney's CBD.
Organiser DENIS DOHERTY say the march from Town Hall to Belmore Park carried a messageof resistance to Australian involvement in any war against Iraq.
Anti-nuclear campaigner HELEN CALDICOTT told the rally Iraq has no weapons of massdestruction and has not threatened anyone.
