NSW: Police appeal for information about sexual assault
SYDNEY, April 12 AAP - Police have appealed for information about a man who they believe
is responsible for the sexual assault of a woman and the assault of another woman at a
park in Sydney's west last month.
Police said a man approached a 23-year-old woman and tried to kiss her after he started
chatting to her at the park, bounded by Burwood Road and Park Avenue, in Burwood, on March
7.
The woman escaped and sought refuge at a nearby shopping centre.
Police said a man fitting the same description started talking to a 46-year-old woman
in the same park, before taking her behind a building and sexually assaulting her about
4pm (AEST) on March 9.
Police have described the man as being aged between 60 and 70, 170cm tall, with an
average build and olive skin.
He was last seen wearing a blue and white chequered short-sleeved collared shirt, khaki
shorts, thin-framed prescription glasses and brown sandals.
